Urological cancers involve organs such as the kidney, bladder and prostate. Dr. Devi Singh provides the surgery for these cancers. Where needed, the work is done with urologists and other specialists.

03Where surgery fits
Urological cancer surgery in Bikaner:
surgery in plain words.
- 01
Tests to start with
Urine tests, ultrasound and a CT scan are used, along with a biopsy. Sometimes a look inside the bladder with a thin camera (cystoscopy) is also done.
- 02
Kidney surgery
Depending on the growth, part or all of the affected kidney may be removed. A person can usually live well with one healthy kidney.
- 03
Bladder surgery
Some bladder growths can be removed through the urinary passage. Others need part or all of the bladder removed. Then a new way for urine to pass is made.
- 04
Prostate and other surgery
Surgery is one of the options for some prostate and related cancers. It is weighed against other treatments.
- 05
Minimally invasive methods
Where suitable, keyhole (laparoscopic) or robotic methods may be used.
